As a new practice, Patent Boutique was built around flexible working. Our systems and procedures were designed specifically to accommodate our homeworking administration team.
We have a cloud-based records management system. We are almost entirely paper-free, using electronic filing and patent office case management systems wherever possible.
In line with the current government guidance, as of 17th March 2020 our office has been closed and our staff are working from home until further notice. We would like to reassure our clients that this has caused no appreciable disruption and that business is continuing as usual.
We shall continue to follow the latest UK government guidance, particularly in relation to work environments and travel. No one in the firm has travelled to a red zone, we have cancelled all but essential domestic travel and all foreign travel, and will continue to adapt our policies to the changing landscape.
Finally, we have contacted all our business-critical suppliers and ensured that they have robust contingency procedures in place.
